52 Weeks Of Gratitude — Something You Use Every Day

As antiquated as it may seem in today’s digital age, I am thankful for my analog writing instruments and that I can find ways to use them every day. I’ve been a writer for as long as I can remember and back when I started telling stories, the only way to preserve them was to handwrite them. My family got our first computer when I was in eighth grade, and while I typed some of my first drafts, I primarily handwrote them, edited them and then typed the finished form. I still do that to this day. Every post you’ve read here – all 500+ of them — originated with a oftentimes hastily scribbled rough draft created with an analog writing instrument (this one was done in pencil!) of some kind. I’m thankful that God has given me the gift of creativity and that I can use these tools to share my heart with the world.
